Thank you for sharing such a vulnerable story. I know most moms out there will read it and relate to what you wrote about. Motherhood is such a tremendous and scary role, one that we are very rarely equipped to deal with. It’s hard enough to work through our own trauma and get through the healing process, let alone trying to raise and nurture human beings at the same time.

I rely heavily on Maya Angelou’s quote: “when we know better, we do better.” You courageously, embody this.
